About Us

Graham Kildey has over 40 years experience in the architecture, construction and development industries, with a lifetime of experience gathered across Australia, UK and Europe. His formative career experience was gathered overseas during the early seventies, working for Architectural and Development companies, designing and project managing several large scale, multi-million dollar, commercial and industrial developments, in London, Amsterdam, Stuttgart and Paris.

On returning to Brisbane, Graham established his own architectural practice, Architects Australia. As a natural progression from his early career experience, in 1987 Graham then established his own development company group Kildey Pty Ltd.

By utilizing his knowledge and experience in both architecture and development, Graham designed and developed ‘the ABBEY Hotel’, in Brisbane CBD. The 17 storey all-suite apartment hotel was the first of its kind in Brisbane, the all-suite mix responding to the requirements of the ever-changing business traveler, setting a precedent, for many other hotel chains to follow suit.

Between 1989 and 1994, Graham developed several multi-residential town house developments in Brisbane’s north; ‘Aspen in the Sun’ in Aspley, ‘Paris in the Springtime’ in Carseldine, and ‘Tuliphaven’ in Bracken Ridge.

In 1994, while sponsored by Austrade, Graham’s submission to Renfe, the Spanish National Rail Authority, for a prominent Hotel & Casino in Seville, Spain, became the winning entry in the international design tender. This relationship with Renfe, in turn lead to the design commission for a mixed-use hotel and office development in Barcelona, Spain.

In recent years group Kildey and Architects Australia have been jointly responsible for several commercial and multi-residential developments on Brisbane’s north side, his latest development BELISE, a multi residential development, situated on the inner city fringe at the gateway to the ULDA’s Bowen Hills redevelopment area and adjacent to the Fortitude Valley shopping and entertainment precincts of James St and Emporium
